4.8.1. Nodal Coordinates

Nodes are defined by an integer element id and a set of coordinates. For 3D meshes, each node will have x, y, and z coordinates. For 1D and 2D meshes, nodes will always have x and y coordinates and in some cases will have z coordinates as well.
